This statement explains what personal data MAN MIGHT collects when you sign up at manmight.com, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what your rights are.

Who we are

MAN MIGHT MOVEMENT is a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) registered with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 42192637. We are responsible for your personal data. For any question about this statement or your data, email info@manmight.com.

What we collect

When you sign up, we collect:

• your email address;

• when you signed up and the technical details our email provider records as proof that you signed up, such as your IP address;

• whether you open our emails and which links you click, and when.

Our emails have open and click tracking. A tiny invisible image in each email tells us when it’s opened, and links go through MailerLite so we can see when they’re clicked. You can block this by turning off automatic image loading in your email app. You’ll still get our emails.

If you email us, we also have your email address and whatever you choose to tell us.

We don’t ask for anything else. We never buy or rent email lists.

Why we use it

• To send you MAN MIGHT emails. These include news on what’s coming, first access to MAN MIGHT drops at the First In price and other updates about MAN MIGHT.

• To see which emails are read and clicked. This helps us send only what’s worth reading.

• To reply to you if you get in touch.

Our legal basis

• Emails and open and click tracking: your consent, which you give when you sign up (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in any of our emails or by emailing us. This won’t affect anything we did with your consent before you withdrew it.

• Keeping proof that you signed up and a “do not contact” record after you unsubscribe: our legitimate interest in being able to show you agreed to hear from us and in making sure we never email you again once you’ve said no (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

• Replying to your emails: our legitimate interest in answering you (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

You don’t have to give us any of this. We need your email address to send you our emails.

We don’t use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Who else handles it

We use MailerLite to run our sign-up page and send our emails. MailerLite works on our instructions under a data processing agreement and stores our data in the European Union. If MailerLite or one of its own suppliers ever handles data outside the European Economic Area, the agreement requires approved safeguards, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

We never sell or rent your data. We don’t share it with anyone for their own use, unless the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as you’re signed up. When you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you. We then keep only your email address, the date you signed up and the date you unsubscribed, on a “do not contact” list, so we can respect your choice and show that you once agreed. If you’d like to be removed from that list too, email us. Just bear in mind we then have no record to stop you being added again by mistake.

We delete emails you send us when we no longer need them to help you.

How we keep it safe

Your sign-up data is kept in our MailerLite account. MailerLite is certified to the ISO 27001 information security standard. Only MAN MIGHT can log in to our account, and it’s protected by a strong password and two-step verification. As with any service, MailerLite’s own staff may access data when they need to, for example to provide support or keep their systems secure.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• show you the data we hold about you;

• correct it;

• delete it;

• limit how we use it;

• stop using it (you can object);

• send it to you in a format you can take elsewhere.

You can also withdraw your consent at any time, as described above.

Email info@manmight.com and we’ll reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm the request comes from you.

If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us. You also have the right to complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

Cookies

We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies or tracking pixels on manmight.com. MailerLite may place a small number of cookies that are strictly needed for the page and sign-up form to work and stay secure. They don’t track you across other websites. If we ever add other cookies, we’ll ask for your permission first and update this statement.

Age

MAN MIGHT is for anyone aged 16 or over. If you’re under 16, please don’t sign up.

Changes

If we change this statement, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll email you about it.
